There were several speculations about who is going to essay the role of Dhoni’s wife as several actresses were vying that role. According to reports, Neeraj has finalized the young and vivacious Kiara Advani opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress made her Bollywood debut with Kabir Sadanand's 'Fugly'.
Apparently the director didn’t wish to cast a leading lady who has done many roles as the audience would have a preconceived notion about her. He wanted an actress who came without baggage and Kiara effortlessly slipped into the role.
It is believed that Kiara’s chemistry with Sushant during the screen test and rehearsals made her land the role. The film is supposed to go on floors by the end of this month.
