MS student drowns at waterfall in US
The victim hailed from Perala under Chirala mandal of Prakasam district
Ongole: A 25-year-old student pursuing MS in Houston University drowned near a waterfall in Texas on Saturday. He had gone for a swim along with his friends during the weekend.
He accidentally fell down and drowned. The victim hailed from Perala under Chirala mandal of Prakasam district. His friends informed his parents over phone on Sunday midnight.
Tadikonda Bala Surendra Kumar, a software engineer was working in TCS in Chennai. He resigned and went to the US pursue MS on July 22. He completed his B.Tech from Sashtra Engine-ering College in Thanjavur.
He got hired by TCS Chennai during campus selections. He worked for three years in TCS. His father Tadikonda Ramesh, who was running a grocery shop in Perala said his son wanted to do MS and settle down as in the US to support his family. “I am most unfortunate to lose my son. My dreams are shattered.”
His brother Narendra said, “Surendra was brilliant since childhood. He got a job in TCS He is no more.” He is crying for his brother. Surendra’s body is expected to reach Perala in three days. YSRC leader Y.Balaji spoke to Tana members and made arrangements to get his body to Perala as early as possible.
