Kunal Kapoor tied the knot with Naina Bachchan in February this year
Mumbai: It has been nine years since Rang De Basanti hit the theatres and went on to acquire cult status, but Kunal Kapoor is still in touch with his co-actors from the film, especially Aamir Khan.
“I catch up with Aamir often. We call each other on important days of our lives and we usually catch up on Diwali. We had such a good time working together, even now whenever we meet, it’s like meeting an old friend,” Kunal says.
He tied the knot with Naina Bachchan in February this year. Speaking of his better half for the first time to the media, Kunal said, “Naina is amazing, she really is my best friend. I have known her for five years now. She has seen me through the best and worst. I have grown a lot in her company. I think I am a better person now than I think I was when I met her.” When asked if there is any chance of Naina getting into films, pat came the reply, “Not at all.” He also revealed that Naina has not seen any of his films.
After relishing a three-year break from the industry, the actor is back with Nila Madhab Panda’s Kaun Kitne Paani Mein with Radhika Apte and Saurabh Shukla. There are also rumours about him playing a wrestler in Abhinay Deo’s next film. But Kunal denies it. “No, I am not. The film has been pushed a little bit. We will start shooting soon with Irrfan Khan and Aditi Rao Hydari,” Kunal says.
