Officials received over 5,500 graft-related complaints in seven months

Hyderabad: Warangal tops the districts in corruption-related complaints in Telangana while Adilabad recorded the fewest. The Telangana government had launched a toll-free number — 040-23454071 — in January under the directions of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to enable people to lodge complaints against government officials and staff who demand money to get their work done.
Officials received over 5,500 graft-related complaints in seven months. Most complaints were against departments that offer citizen services like issuing of certificates, property registration etc.
