Aparna Sen, Ananth Mahadevan to attend South Asian Film fest
Washington: Indian actors Aparna Sen andAnanth Mahadevan will be the special guests at the fourth annual Washington South Asian Film Festival to be held in the suburb of the US Capital next month, said the organisers.
The three-day festival from September 25 to 27, organised by Ceaser Productions, would also see the presence of popular Bollywood actresses Konkona Sen Sharma and Raima Sen.
Raima will also pay tribute to the late National Award Winning director, lyricist, screenwriter, and actor Rituparno Ghosh after screening of his last film "Chitagandaga", a media release said.
A diverse selection of about 25 full features, short films and documentary films, mostly independent, are scheduled to be screened during the film festival.
Films will be from India (Hindi and regional languages), Pakistan, Nepal and other South Asian countries, with English subtitles, Ceaser Productions said in a statement.
