Before you upgrade to Windows 10, you should read this!
Windows 10, the latest operating system from Microsoft, seems to be giving a little trouble, in the right way. The new operating system is making sure you cannot install or run any pirated software or counterfeit hardware on your new Windows 10-based desktop PC or laptop.
According to a report on Alphr, the new operating system from Microsoft will disable all counterfeit and pirated software, and the same is mentioned in their updated European License Agreement Terms and Conditions (EULA). It states that ‘may automatically check your version of the software and download software update or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorised hardware peripheral devices.’
This essentially means that Microsoft will officially disable any pirated applications, software or counterfeit / hacked hardware that you may be using on your PC, laptop or phone. This also includes modded Xbox games, controllers and consoles. As of now, it is unclear whether it will include only Microsoft's software and devices or will it also cover third-party applications and hardware such as Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, games and others. Alphr tried toclarify the same with Microsoft, but hasn’t managed as yet. Indirectly, Microsoft is now arming all their operating systems to detect and reject modded hardware and illegal software to help control the piracy issue.
However, if you are using pirated software, or intend using it later, installing Microsoft Windows 10 could be an issue. If you were unaware of the issue, you may have already upgraded your PC to Windows 10. But you ought to know that the operating system will now start bugging you if it found anything unusual and illegal.
