Three IPS officials, inspector general (coastal security) bagged President Police Medal

Hyderabad: Three IPS officials — inspector general (coastal security) G. Suryaprakasha Rao, Eluru Range DIG P. Hari Kumar of AP and Hyderabad Range DIG Y. Gangadhar of TS — bagged President Police Medal on Independence Day, 2015.
Another IPS official P. Venkatrami Reddy principal of Anantapur Training College of AP bagged Indian Police Medal for I-day 2015. Around 13 other police officials of different ranks received Indian Police Medal.
Mr Y. Gangadhar rose from DSP rank to DIG. He worked in various districts and was known for his effective operations on anti-naxal and anti-terror front. He worked as Task Force DCP in the city where he cracked a whip against goons and terror suspects. He was with Greyhounds and SIB, the anti-naxal intelligence agency. He was also part of United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina–Kosovo.
