Private buses go on flash strike at Piravom

KOCHI: Hundreds of commuters were put into difficulty at Piravom on Friday morning as private bus employees resorted to a flash strike protesting against alleged manhandling of a driver by a KSRTC driver.

The buses stayed away from roads till Friday noon. Normal services resumed towards the evening, said M.B Satyan, President, All Kerala Bus Operators Federation. Many office goers to Kochi and Muvattupuzha were affected by the strike.
