Hyderabad: The low pressure area has moved away from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states and the heavy rainfall warning has been withdrawn by the IMD. The two states witnessed good rains in the last four days at several places due to the low pressure and very heavy rains of over 10 cm were recorded at isolated places in the two states. Monsoon remained active in coastal AP and Telangana for two days. The IMD forecast now predicts moderate to heavy rains for a few places in coastal AP and Telangana, and light to moderate showers along with thundershowers for isolated places in Rayalaseema region.
In the last 24 hours, light showers were recorded at some places. Rain occurred at isolated places over Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Moderate rains continued in isolated places in Telangana and Nirmal from Adilabad recorded the maximum rains of 5 cm followed by Jagtial mandal from Karimnagar and Aswaraopeta from Khammam recorded 3 cm each.
In coastal Andhra Pradesh, Therlam mandal of Vizianagaram recorded the maximum rainfall of 2 cm followed by Atmakur from Nellore and Merakamudidam from Vizianagaram and isolated places in Kurnool and Cuddapah which recorded a very light rainfall of 1 cm.
