Keeping it ‘trill’ is the new yoga trend

Her unique form of yoga has gone viral on social media too

So you think all those challenging yoga poses can be done only by those who fit the ‘super-slim’ body type? Well, yoga teacher and writer, Claire Fountain, is adamant to prove your belief wrong. Claire likes keeping her yoga, ‘trill’, in other words, true and real. Trill Yoga is a term coined by Fountain herself, who is trying to show folks out there how yoga can be truly badass.

Emphasising on feelings of confidence and freedom, Fountain believes that yoga can free you from many rules and restrictions. She uploads pictures of herself doing graceful and powerful yoga poses in public spaces rather than a typical yoga studio and therefore has a large number of followers on social media. “You can do yoga wherever, hence me doing yoga in less than traditional spaces, on the streets, in sneakers,” she says according to the Metro.

She aims to shatter ideal body stereotypes by showing that even curvaceous and muscular people can do the same yoga poses just as perfectly as slim people. “So then it’s okay to be any body shape, to wear what you like, to listen to what you like; and realise you don’t need a fancy studio….you don’t even really need a mat,” she says, as reported by the Metro.
