Who offered Bajrangi Bhaijaan to Aamir?
Frankly, I don’t know why he said no to the role says Vijayendra Prasad
While there have been reports squashing rumours about Aamir Khan being offered Bajrangi Bhaijaan first — some even quoted Kabir Khan saying he never approached Aamir for the role at all — turns out the perfectionist Khan was indeed offered the role. Not by Kabir Khan, but by Vijayendra Prasad, the man who wrote Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Recalling his meeting with Aamir, Prasad says, “Frankly, I don’t know why he said no to the role. But when I narrated the story to him I had seen his eyes tear up. Later I heard through my producer that Aamir had recommended Salman Khan for the role. I guess it was destined.”
If Bigg Boss contestant Ali Quli Mirza is to be believed, then Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s role was first offered to him. While there is no clarity on that, Kabir Khan has himself said in a previous interview that he had initially wanted his daughter to play Munni. But that didn’t work out eventually. As the film continues its dream run at the box office, looks like the second choices have worked their magic.
