To be organised in the run up to the YES CAN 2015 to be held in Kochi on September 12, the contest will invite ideas from innovators and entrepreneurs who can submit them at www.yeskerala.org till August 26.
The ideas would be judged by a panel consisting of experts from the industry and representatives from industry organisations such as CII and TiE.
The best innovative idea would be awarded Rs 1 lakh, while the first runner up and the second runner up would get Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively.
Seven other selected ideas would be awarded Rs 25,000 each. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Thursday released the logo of the second edition of YES, which will focus on ‘Collaborating and Networking’.
It will be a ‘by invitation only’ event unlike its first edition and will target the participation of about 1500 entrepreneurs and startups.
KSIDC sources said the summit will offer the young and aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with founders of successful startups from across the country. It also aims at interlinking startups and connecting them to angel investors.
The summit will showcase the governmental schemes to promote entrepreneurship and offer young entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their ideas.
