Hyderabad High Court extends stay in phone tapping case
The judge directed that the call data should be returned in a sealed cover to the HC
Hyderabad: Justice Vilas V. Afzulpurkar of the HC on Thursday extended the stay orders in the phone tapping row to another case registered at the Bhavanipuram police station in Vijayawada.
The judge was dealing with a lunch motion moved by the TS government regarding the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court ordering telecom service providers BSNL, Idea and Bharati Airtel to submit call data in an another case registered in Bhavanipuram by August 14.
While ordering the lower court to not proceed further in the case, the judge directed that the call data should be returned in a sealed cover to the HC.
