New Delhi: Equating the Congress’ current attitude to that during the Emergency era, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asked NDA MPs to expose the Congress and its “anti-democracy trait” throughout the country after the complete washout of the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
In the NDA parliamentary party meeting, Mr Modi said while the Congress wants to “save the family”, the ruling BJP wants to “save the country as it is our principle”.
As part of NDA strategy, 53 parliamentary constituencies (44 won by Congress and nine by the Left parties) will be the primary target of the NDA’s campaign where its leaders would highlight how the Congress and Left tried to disturb India’s growth by stalling the passage of important legislation, including the Goods and Service Tax Bill.
