Maharashtra gang escapes, cops chase, catch one

The police could chase and capture one of them, while three of them are still at large

Hyderabad: A gang of four robbers gave the slip to the police from a court complex at Sanga Reddy in Medak district on Thursday. The members of the notorious Pardhi gang from Maharashtra pushed the escorting cops and ran away from the compound in broad day light.

The police could chase and capture one of them, while three of them are still at large. Police suspect this was part of their escape plan, which was chalked out with the help of other gang members outside.

Only three police officials were escorting the gang, and they could not stop the accused. Officials said that only one of them was wearing hand cuffs. Others did not wear them since they just came out of the court.

According to police, the gang has involved in several robberies in the districts of Nalgonda, Warangal, Karimnagar and Medak in the past few years. “They have 42 warrants pending against them in the state,” said Medak SP, Ms. B. Sumathi.

The gang was arrested last year for the RC Puram robbery case and was imprisoned in Kandi sub-jail. They were brought to the Sanga Reddy court. The escaped accused are Tarun Bhosle, Lakshman Bhosle, Parameswar and Kailash, all of them from Beed.
