Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film titled Kannabiran?

Titles always bear major significance when it comes to a big star’s film. Superstar Rajinikanth’s movies, especially evoke huge curiosity and even his old film titles garner interest among young actors. We all know that Rajini is back in action after a gap, and the ever-young sexagenarian actor is gearing up for the shoot of his next film which is directed by two-film-old Ranjith, which is all set to start in Malaysia.

Earlier, it was speculated that the film will have the title Kaali, but Rajini himself turned it down. We have now confirmed that Superstar’s next movie has been titled Kannabiran. Apparently, ‘Kannabiran’ is a title which has been registered by director Ameer for a film which he was supposed to start a few years ago.

We hear that he has been renewing it with the Producers Council until now. Rajinikanth loved the title Kannabiran and evinced interest in it, so the filmmakers approached Ameer and explained the situation to him.

Interestingly the title Lingaa was also with Ameer before it came to Rajini, when he was approached by its director KS Ravikumar. Ameer had then said, “I am a great fan of Rajini sir and it would be an honour to hand over the title.” A similar magic is expected with respect to Kannabiran as well.
