Desh bhakti song by Censor Board chief for PM Modi

The chairperson of the Censor Board, Pahlaj Nihalani, is set to release a patriotic song dedicated to the Prime Minister today. Titled Mera Desh Hai Mahaan Mera Desh Hai Jawaan, it is his homage to the nation.

He says, “We don’t have patriotic songs like we used to earlier because the youth doesn’t have political leaders to look up to. After the 1970s, the nation had leaders who would inculcate a sense of pride in the youth. Manoj Kumar’s songs Mere Desh Ki Dharti and Hai Preet Jahaan Ki Reet Sadaa were beautiful songs that touched a chord with everyone. Even Bhai Bhai’s song Aankhen Jiski Mandir Masjid Dil Gurudwara Hai Woh Desh Tumhara Hai, for that matter. I hope my song will bond the youngsters of the country in a collective clasp of nationalism.” Nihalani hopes to make a biopic on Modi someday too.
