Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau served notice on Telugu Desam leader Nara Lokesh’s driver M. Kondal Reddy, asking him to attend before it in connection with the cash-for-vote scam. He also works at the NTR Trust Bhavan. ACB sources said that call data record analysis revealed that several phone calls had been made by accused TD MLA A. Revanth Reddy’s aides and suspects in the case to Kondal Reddy during the days of the scam.

As per call data record analysis, several calls were made by accused MLA Revanth Reddy’s aides, and suspects in the case to Kondal Reddy, during the days of the scam. ACB officials said the notice has been served under 160 CrPC. ACB additional SP M. Malla Reddy said, “Notice has been served on Kondal Reddy, the driver, to appear as a witness in the case.”
The notice read: “In connection with the ACB cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act and criminal conspiracy, you are requested to appear before me as you are acquainted with the facts and circumstances of the case.” He has been asked to appear before the ACB by August 13 at 10.30 am.
The ACB has already filed a chargesheet in the court against Mr Revanth Reddy and other involved in the case including Bishop Harry Sebastian, Mr Jerusalem Mattaiah and Mr Uday Simha.
The other accused, TD MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, is yet to be chargesheeted. A senior TS police official said, “We may add a few more as accused in the supplementary chargesheet. We haven’t decided yet on naming AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu... We will take a decision only based on the evidence available. We can’t comment on his son Lokesh’s role at this point of time.”
Meanwhile, the AP CM’s security officers seriously objected to the two ACB constables coming to the his residence and trying to enquire about those who were working there.
