AP CID sleuths decide to serve notices on K.T. Rama Rao’s driver and gunman

Hyderabad: In an eye for an eye move, the AP Crime Investigation Department officials on Wednesday prepared a notice to serve it on the driver and gunman of IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, son of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, in an alleged case of threatening Jerusalem Mattaiah, an accused in the cash-for-vote scam.

There was high drama on Wednesday evening when a team of AP CID officials visited Mr Rao’s camp office at Begumpet.

It was high drama on Wednesday evening when a team of AP CID officials visited the TS Chief Minister’s camp office at Begumpet. As Mr Rama Rao’s driver and gunman, Janakiram and Satyanarayana, were not present at the camp office, the officials left for the minister’s residence.

The CID is probing a case booked against Telangana IPS officials and in the complaint, the name of Telangana state CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao has figured wherein Mr Mattaiah has alleged that he was forced to give witness against AP CM. Investigating the case, the CID had asked for call data records from service providers and the issue is pending with the court.

An AP police official said, “We prepared the notice under 160 CrPC for Janakiram and Satyanarayana in Mattaiah’s case as we have information that they know about the case.”
