Sisters’ murderer sent to custody
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police took the double murder accused Amit Singh, who had stabbed two sisters to death last month, to different north Indian cities to collect evidence.
Singh had killed the sisters on July 15, and was arrested on July 29. For nearly a fortnight after the murders, he had gone to several cities.
After five days of custody, the police sent him back to prison on Wednesday.
“We took him to Rajasthan and other places he was hiding earlier to recover evidence. We got his mobile phone and some other proofs. He had already away his laptop,” said an investigation official.
The court had granted five days custody to the Cyberabad police during his judicial remand.
“We will file the chargesheet in a week. The case was given extra care to ensure maximum punishment for the accused since it was a heinous offence,” said a senior official from the LB Nagar police.
