A special screening of Srimanthudu was held in Delhi for all political leaders, including MPs and ministers like M. Venkaiah Naidu. In Hyderabad, K. Taraka Rama Rao, the IT minister, saw the film and praised it as it focuses on rural development; he compared it with his government’s project Gram Jyothi.
Actor Venkatesh, amongst several other actors, visited Mahesh Babu to congratulate him after watching the film. In Chennai, Kamal Haasan is all set to watch the film. His daughter Shruti Haasan has asked him to do so, as there is a message conveyed commercially.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has agreed to see it after August 15, as he is busy with the Independence Day event that will be held in Vizag.
