According to Business Insider, Facebook will give its users the freedom to select topics or stations and substations for which they want to receive alerts for. With regards to this, publishers can send notifications to all its followers instantly via Facebook. Media reports also state that Facebook will send alerts, which will comprise of only 100 characters, with a URL attached to it.
