Rajamouli’s dad writing Babri flick?
Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani and Rajamouli’s father K.V. Vijayendra Prasad are teaming up for a movie about the controversial demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. According to sources, Pahlaj is thinking of approaching the likes of Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar to play the lead. The film will reportedly tell the story of a character named Kabir and his experiences after the demolition.
Vijayendra Prasad has also scripted the Salman starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Pahlaj is all praise for Prasad’s craft. “I knew Bajrangi Bhaijaan was a sure-shot blockbuster. When I heard the plot-line, I was bowled over. I wanted to work with Vijayendra Prasad. He is a brilliant writer. He and his son Rajamouli are to Telugu cinema what O.P. Dutta and his son J.P. Dutta were to Hindi.”
