Adam Zampa, Ashton Agar guide Australia ‘A’ to final

Zampa produced a vital knock of 49-ball 54 to help the visitors chase the target of 259 with nine balls to spare
Chennai: Australia ‘A’ found an unlikely hero in Adam Zampa as they edged out India ‘A’ by three wickets in the tri-series one-dayers here on Monday.
Taking guard when the Aussies were in a spot of bother at 178 for six in 34.3 overs, Zampa produced a vital knock of 49-ball 54 to help the visitors chase the target of 259 with nine balls to spare. Australia marched into the final after their third win in as many matches in the series which also involves South Africa. If not for Zampa’s innings the contributions from Travis Head (45) and Chris Lynn (63) would have gone down the drain.
Brief scores:
India ‘A’ 258/9 in 50 overs (M. Agarwal 61, M. Pandey 50, K. Nair 32, S. Samson 23, A. Patel 20, R. Dhawan (n.o.) 26, Sandhu 2/66, Agar 5/39) lost to Australia A 262/7 in 48.3 overs (T. Head 45, C. Lynn 63, C. Ferguson (n.o.) 45, A. Zampa 54).
