HD Kumaraswamy is like hit and run driver: Siddaramaiah
Bengaluru: The war of words between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy continued on Monday, with Mr Siddaramaiah asking the media not to take Mr Kumaraswamy seriously, as he usually indulges in “hit and run”.
Reacting to charges leveled by Mr Kumaraswamy that a conspiracy to arrest him was hatched in the Chief Minister’s Office, Mr Siddaramaiah said, “Mr Kumaraswamy talks like Sathya Harishchandra and when legal action is initiated against him, he blames the government of conspiracy.”
Asked about the allegation that Mr Siddaramaih had traveled in a flight to Bengaluru with Ashwin Y., Lokayukta Justice Bhaskar Rao’s son, and Suresh Kumar, the main accused in Lokayukta corruption case, Mr Siddaramaiah retorted: “Should I give a you a list of all the people who come in the flight to Bengaluru?”
“I don’t know Mr Bhaskar Rao or his son Ashwin. I don’t even know who Bhaskar is. Mr Kumaraswamy always talks whatever comes to his mind and tries to escape from it. It’s a hit and run case,” he said.
“We have formed the SIT, which is taking legal action against whoever was involved in mining irregularities. The government is not interfering in any way with the investigation. Mr Kumaraswamy talks of corruption charges against others. When the allegations are against him, he blames the government,” he said.
Asked about allegations that Mr Siddaramaiah was indulging in vindictive politics, he said that he learnt about vindictive politics from Mr Kumaraswamy and his family members.
