M. Srinivasa Reddy, 25, of Kurnool used to target hostels in Narayanguda

Hyderabad: A BBM graduate who stole laptops from hostels after failing to get a job was arrested by the Narayanguda police on Monday. Police said M. Srinivasa Reddy, 25, of Kurnool used to target hostels in Narayanguda, SR Nagar and Dilsukhnagar and sold the stolen laptops and sold them in the second hand market in his hometown. Police seized 12 laptops from him.
Police said Srinvasa Reddy had graduated from Vijaya Durga College of Management at Kurnool in 2009 and came to Hyderabad in search of employment. When he did not get a job after more than a year, he took to stealing laptops.
“He started with the hostel in which he stayed. He would enter the hostel saying that he wanted to meet his friends and then do away with the laptops of the residents,” said Narayanguda inspector Bheem Reddy.
