Parthiepan plays villain in Perarasu's film

Director Perarasu is back with a flick titled Tihar
Director Perarasu who has worked with the likes of Vijay, Ajith and Vijayakanth and was missing in action for a while, is back with a flick titled Tihar. Perarasu, who usually named his films after places such as Tirupachi, Thirutthani has time gone for Tihar, the infamous prison in the country’s capital. The director has roped in Parthiepan, who is in full form after Thirai Kathai Vasanam Iyakkam, to play the lead — a don, Alexander.
The movie is said to be a sequel to the 90s Malayalam Mammootty-starrer Samrajyam, which saw the rise and fall of the notorious thug Alexander, the most-wanted criminal in the country. The sequel is rumoured to be about the social problems faced by Alexander’s son Jordan after the don’s demise.
“I have just documented the life and times of a notorious don. Parthiepan came on board after he was impressed with the character,” says Perarasu. Kannada heroine Priyanka has been roped in to play the female lead.
A new lead pair, Mukundan and Bollywood girl Akanksha Puri who was seen in a cameo in Karthi’s Alex Pandian, is being introduced. The film is likely to hit the screens by August 21.
