WhatsApp plans to introduce a new feature for Windows Phone
iOS users have been the lucky ones to receive the latest exclusive features of WhatsApp in the week gone by. The updates include customised ringtones, enabling the mute option for individual chat inbox, low data storage and variation in the multimedia files. Surprisingly, the next update doesn’t seem to appear on Android handsets anytime sooner. Latest media reports state that WhatsApp has released the 2.12.100 beta version to help Windows Phone users get a user friendly experience with WhatsApp.
The 2.12.100 beta version of WhatsApp allows Windows Phone users to set custom ringtones for each of their WhatsApp contacts. As reported earlier, WhatsApp is also expected to allow Windows Phone users to block unwanted online contacts.
At present, this feature is only for those Windows Phone users who are a part of WhatsApp Beta Program. This version isn’t officially available on Windows Store, but assures that Windows Phone users will be the next ones to receive the custom call ringtone update.
