Woman molested on TSRTC bus
Hyderabad: A woman passenger travelling on the TSRTC’s Garuda Service 1097 to Pune complained that she was molested en route on Friday, but the bus staff did not give her the passenger details when she wanted to lodge a police complaint.
When the passenger raised an alarm, the man was asked to shift to the rear seat by the staff, and walked away in Pune on Saturday.
The passenger wrote: “Around two in the morning I felt someone touching me and woke up to see that it was a man sitting in front of me who had pushed back his chair to molest me. I made a lot of noise and also retaliated by hitting him after which he stopped. Rather than taking down his details to complain to the police, the driver and conductor made him sit in the last row. In the morning when I reached Pune I realised that the man who harassed me had got down. When I asked for his details, the driver and conductor on the bus did not have them. They did not even know which seat number he was originally allotted.”
