Sonia interacted with OU Student JAC leaders some of whom sang songs in her praise for giving Telangana statehood
Hyderabad: AICC president Sonia Gandhi had asked the Telangana State Congress leaders to wage a “democratic war” against the TRS government’s ‘anti-people’ decisions as it had completely failed to live up to the expectations of the aspirations of Telangana people.
Mrs Gandhi was speaking had a 50-minute meeting in Delhi with TPCC leaders N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and leaders of the Student Joint Action Committee of Osmania University.
She interacted with OU Student JAC leaders some of whom sang songs in her praise for giving Telangana statehood.
She told the party leaders that she was instrumental in granting Telangana state much against the wishes of the leaders of AP, with the hope that Telangana would thrive if given statehood.
Much to her disappointment, the TRS government which came to power by making several promises to people, has not made any headway during the last 14 months and has been taking anti-people’s decisions, she said.
