Vijay Television awards is entering its second edition this year, and it looks like the channel is gearing up for the gala event. There are over 30 categories, such as favourite junior male/female, favourite fiction/non-fiction comedian, best male/female dancer, supporting actor/actress, best actor/actress, best entertainer, best judge male/female, favourite anchor male/female, and favourite show and the winners will be chosen by the viewes through a voting process. Those who win the awards will be given mask-shaped trophies.
Vijay TV’s general manager, K Sriram tweeted, “Plans on for a Grand Celebrations of Vijay Television awards second year. The event is tentatively scheduled in the first week of August (sic).”An array of stars as well as actors, directors, and technicians from the film industry are expected to grace the occasion, besides the regular crowd mostly comprising the channel’s viewers felicitating their favourite artistes.
