Did OnePlus jeopardize the OnePlus 2 sales on its own?

OnePlus has just launched their flagship smartphone and termed it as the ‘Flagship Killer’ for 2016. The device sports almost identical specifications of the previous flagship, but with high-end hardware of the present season. The OnePlus 2 sports a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A 5.5-inch full HD display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, a laser focusing system and a fingerprint sensor are the other highlights of the OnePlus 2. But is the company jeopardizing their own product?

According to an interview with USA Today, the co-founder Carl Pei has just managed to ruin the chances of the OnePlus 2 sales. He has revealed that there will be a third handset from the stable and will be released as early as the end of 2015 itself. The date was not announced, but he did mention that the device will be unveiled before Christmas. According to his interview, he also did mention he was blown away by the prototype, but did not want to speak about any specifications.

Is this one of OnePlus’ business plan to sell the third device by creating an early hype? After leaking out the existence and launch, this is sure to keep the OnePlus 2 on low profile. Is it intentional? Well, the availability of the OnePlus 2 smartphones will surely lighten up the picture in time.
