Thiruvananthapuram: Home minister Ramesh Chennithala has ordered a vigilance inquiry into the corruption charges against Kerala State Centre for Advanced Printing and Training (C-APT) MD Sajith Vijayaraghavan in awarding the printing of school textbooks to private printing presses.
The order was issued on Friday on the basis of a complaint filed by Deshiya Jana Jagratha Parishad.
The allegation was that C-APT failed to take steps to print over 43 lakh textbooks in time. Later, the work was handed over to private printing press citing the delay.
There are also allegations against Mr Vijayaraghavan relating to awarding of printing of lottery tickets and barcoding of lottery tickets to private agencies.
