Caught militant is not our national, says Pakistan

Like in Kasab case, Pakistan feigns ignorance

Srinagar: The NIA on Thursday took over the case of Wednesday’s terror strike outside the garrison town of Udhampur in which two Border Security Force jawans were killed and 15 others wounded.

One of the Pakistani militants involved in the attack was killed in retaliatory fire and the other was captured alive by villagers.

Meanwhile, Pakistan on Thursday rejected the assertion that Naved was of Pakistani origin and asked India to refrain from making “accusations”. “We have also seen media reports and I will not offer any comment on that issue.

We expect the Indian authorities to share information with us on the claims that are being made in the media,” Pakistan foreign office spokesperson Syed Qazi Khalilullah said on the LeT militant’s arrest.
