Take vow to make TN corruption free: BJP president Amit Shah
After eradicating corruption, it would be the “top most state of the country”
Madurai: BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday urged people belonging to all communities in Tamil Nadu to take a vow to make the state “corruption-free” so that it realised its full potential for growth.
Addressing a representatives’ conference organised by Devendirar Velalar Voluntary Trust and Swadeshi Awakening Movement to declare all the seven sub-sects Velalar community including Mallars as “Devendirar Kula Velalars” by a government order, he said Tamil Nadu had enormous potential and if it was used properly after eradicating corruption, it would be the “top most state of the country”. “It is true that Tamil Nadu is one among the developed states of the country. But its full potential has not been realised due to corruption, which is unfortunate,” he said. Amit Shah, who earlier visited Sri Meenakshi Temple here said such a magnificent temple could not be built even if 10 states joined together.
The temple was an example of how people earned their money and spent them usefully for the people. The temple also reflected the great potential of Tamil Nadu people, he said.
