Karma Cartel hits the screens
The much talked about avant-garde film Karma Cartel directed by Vinod Bharatan, an award-winning Malayali filmmaker currently settled in Copenhagen, will release nationwide on August 7. In Kerala, the film will be released at PVR screens in Kochi.
Karma Cartel, the experimental film, was in the limelight for various reasons. The film was made following the Dogme 95 manifesto laid by Lars Von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg at Cannes in 1995. It was shot entirely in Fort Kochi and other parts of Ernakulam in a record-breaking 10 days. The film has won awards at film festivals held in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy.
The one hour 45-minute docu-fiction, which features Vinay Forrt and Jinu Joseph in the lead roles, narrates the story of a missing actor and the search for the reasons behind this.
Twenty four newcomers and an international model Tony Luke have also acted in this film. The movie is released by PVR Directors Rare, a wing of PVR Cinemas that releases special and award-winning content.
