Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt having marital problems in new film 'By The Sea'

The Hollywood power couple have reunited onscreen for the second time (first being Mr. And Mrs. Smith) in the film ‘By The Sea’. The two play an unhappy married couple who are at each other’s throats. On Firday, fans got a first glimpse at the highly anticipated movie that has been written and directed by Angelina.

Set in France during the mid-1970s, Vanessa, a former dancer, and her husband Roland, an American writer, travel the country together. They seem to be growing apart, but when they linger in one quiet, seaside town they begin to draw close to some of its more vibrant inhabitants, such as a local bar/café-keeper and a hotel owner.

Apart from all the tears and beating in the minute long trailer, the film will also have a few pretty steamy scenes. This film will also be a ‘very special’ project for the two. Angie had gifted Brad with a $3million watch, as her wedding gift with the words ‘To Roly from Nessa’ inscribed on the back, referring to their characters in the film.

Call it coincidence, but this surprise trailer launch has come just hours after news of Brad’s former wife Jennifer Aniston’s wedding to Justin Theroux broke. Last year, Brad and Angelina’s wedding announcement eclipsed everything, especially Jen’s movie that was due to release days later.
