Acer India has become the first among PC vendors to unveil its latest range of devices with Windows 10. The devices include the hugely popular Aspire E5-573 with solid performance packed into a sophisticated design, the Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition with more powerful processing and gaming-grade graphics, and the Aspire R 13 with Acer’s unique Ezel Aero Hinge™ that allows the six different modes of usage.
The unveiling took place at an exclusive event in Mumbai along with Microsoft. Acer also announced that the entire 2015 Windows-powered product lineup and those currently shipping Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 will support the free Windows 10 upgrade for 1 year. Acer’s diverse range of products designed for Windows 10 will be able to deliver smart value to customers across multiple device form factors that will let the consumer get the best Windows 10 experience.
Windows 10 is fast and familiar – with the return of the Start menu and Live Tiles for instant, streaming updates of what matters most. Windows 10 is the most secure Windows Microsoft has ever released, with enhancements to Windows Defender and SmartScreen to help safeguard against viruses, malware and phishing. Windows 10 includes innovations such as Cortana, an Xbox app and Microsoft Edge for a familiar, yet more personal and productive experience. The most secure Windows ever, Windows 10 is delivered as a service and kept automatically up-to-date with innovations and security updates.
Skype Certified
Acer has obtained Skype certification across its consumer notebook lines by fine-tuning the hardware and software to ensure they work together for a problem free and optimized audio and visual communication experience. Acer has numerous Skype-certified devices which have gone through a rigid certification process to ensure that speech is seamless with no lag or gaps, the sound is reproduced true-to-life, and the video realistic and accurate. Thanks to the built-in Acer Purified Voice technology, the speech accuracy is also improved up to 97%.
Precision Touchpads
Acer has widely implemented The Precision Touchpads (PTP) with Accidental Contact Mitigation (ACM) Technology since 2013 in its consumer notebooks. The PTP with Windows Precision Touchpad certification provides a ubiquitous user experience on its touchpads much akin to the touchscreen technologies available. The ACM assures better experience than most conventional implementations without the need for a touchpad switch off button while the customer is using the keyboard. All these functionalities are provided right out of the box and settings are easily adjustable through the Windows Control Panel.
Aspire E5-573
The new Aspire E5-573 notebook comes in a variety of color options in 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays and brings premium looks, style and high performance experience to mainstream notebooks. They feature a textile-pattern on the A-cover and D-cover manufactured through a brand new process, involving 3D scanning of fabric samples, which are then replicated into molds with 3D printing technology and finished with a sophisticated laser engraving process.
Powered with the latest 5th Gen Intel Core processors, up to NVIDIA GeForce 920M series graphics with dedicated DDR3 VRAM, up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB HDD storage options, the new Aspire E5 573 provides solid performance for everyday use. Aspire R 13
Less than 17.95 mm (1 inch) thin and just over 1.5 kg (3 lbs.), the lightweight Aspire R 13 incorporates the unique Acer Ezel Aero Hinge™ that provides both flexibility and stability. The 13.3-inch display is affixed to this special hinge at the sides, which allows the screen to rotate 180-degrees so it can be used in six different ways.
- Notebook mode: Provides a precise and spacious keyboard for maximum productivity
- Ezel mode: brings the display close for convenient reading and web browsing

The latest Acer devices with Windows 10 have been launched in time to address the Independence Day buying for consumers. They will be available at select LFR stores across the country and on prominent online retail portals. The new Acer Aspire E5-573 with Windows 10 will be available at a price starting at Rs 26,499. The new Acer Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition with Windows 10 will be available at Rs. 1,10,000.
