Umesh Shukla praises Tulsi for ‘All Is Well’
Mumbai: From singing romantic and sweet melodies to fast paced- foot tapping number, Tulsi kumar has experimented with her singing off late. Although being a singer from this era, she is a zealous lover of the songs back from the 80's and is feeling privileged to having sung her favourite song of the 80’s ‘Ae mere Humsafar’.
Tulsi has grown up listening and reciting tracks from the 80's and has an ardour for it. So when the track 'Ae mere humsafar' was approached to her, which is a recreated version of the old time blockbuster ‘Qayamat se Qayamat tak' for T-Series ‘All is well’, she just couldn't wait to record it.
Reminiscing old times, Tulsi truly is awestruck with the fact that she sung one of her favourite tracks from the past. Excited for the song to reach out to her listeners, Tulsi says, “Ae mere humsafar’ being one of my favourite songs from back 80's, I was quite excited to hear that it's going to be recreated for ‘All is Well’. The original number had a happy romantic vibe to it. When I met Mithoon for this song sitting, he briefed me about the situation and the change of lyrics in the song. While recording I was told to keep a smooth texture n surreal feel to it as per the situation in the film demanded.”
Director Umesh Shukla loved Tulsi’s version of ‘Ae mere Humsafar’ and sent her a text. "Very well sung , no words , god bless".
