PM Modi meets Bengaluru schoolgirls
Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met five girl students of New Horizon Public School, Bengaluru, who beat the competitors from other parts of the world at the Technovation Challenge 2015 held in San Francisco on 25 June 2015.
Mr Modi told them, “I am proud of you. You have made the country proud. You are the true role models of the nation. I wish you all the best for your future endeavours.” During the 10-minute interaction with the girls, all ninth standard students, Mr Modi admired their ingenuity in putting three of his ideas, “Swachh Bharat, Digital India & Beti Bachao, Beti Padao”, into one package.
The students were accompanied by Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers H.N. Ananth Kumar and MP Pralhad Joshi. They also called on Human Resource Development Minster Smriti Irani.
