Hyderabad: The transport department has decided not to increase RTC bus fares despite steep increase in salaries of staff and suffering losses. The department has also decided to use IT application to improve the services for the people.
Transport minister P. Mahender Reddy who discussed various issues pertaining to the transport department with senior officials here asked them to ensure quality services.
He also instructed them to ensure strict implementation of Aadhaar linked registration of new vehicles, re-registration and issue of driving licences.
He said bifurcation of the RTC would be completed in three months and he would meet minister Nitin Gadkari on August 13 and 14.
