Sri Krishna College of Technology students plant saplings in Abdul Kalam’s memory
Coimbatore: Around 2,000 saplings were planted by freshers of Sri Krishna College of Technology in remembrance of former President Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam during an orientation program for the first year students of the college.
“Education must have a purpose and as a student you have fix it. You should know what you want, understand yourself and believe that you are capable of doing,” Dr C. Gopinath, CEO and founder, Taalkshop Academy, Chennai, told students.
Sharing the mantra for success he asked the students to implement their thoughts and plans and work hard. “Study well, get employed or become entrepreneurs, serve the society, pay back to it and try to become a social engineer,” he said.
Also, another 1,332 saplings were planted by the existing students and around 1,000 saplings of plants were given to parents to plant it in their houses.
