Miscreants set Tasmac shop on fire
The Gurubarapalli police conducted a search to trace miscreants who tried to set Tasmac shop on fire for reasons unknown. In the early hours of Monday, the Gurubarapalli police who were doing their rounds on the Gurubarapalli-Nadusalai road found smoke coming out of the Tasmac shop at Pulliyamsherri village. They alerted the fire and rescue personnel who came to the place and doused the fire.
Initially it was believed that the fire was caused due to an electrical short circuit. Investigations revealed that it was a case of sabotage after police found a hole in the wall at the back of the shop. The police also recovered half burnt rubber scrap material from the place. Police suspect that miscreants may have thrown the burning rubber material into the shop through the hole.
