TRS men oppose Bangaru Telangana batch
Nizamabad: Ruling TRS party leaders and cadre are worried about the new entrants into the party and the Bangaru Telangana slogan, over last the few months. The leaders from other political parties are switching their loyalties to the ruling TRS under the guise of Bangaru Telangana.
Especially, leaders from the Congress, Telugu Desam and the BJP are joining the TRS. Hoping for a bright political future in the TRS, the leaders are simply wearing pink kanduvas to join the party.
Surprisingly, the TRS high command is also welcoming the leaders from other parties into its fold. For instance, senior Congress leader D. Srinivas along with his followers in Nizamabad urban and Nizamabad rural constituencies had joined the TRS recently.
A senior TRS leader, on condition of anonymity said that under the pretext of Bangaru Telangana, the leaders are joining the TRS and causing disturbance to the existing TRS cadre. Most of the leaders are joining the TRS to protect their assets and business and enjoy power, he said.
“We don’t know how useful the Bangaru Telangana (BT) batch is for the party, “he said.
A few leaders, who had enjoyed key posts in TRS, have retreated from the party. Presently, new leaders are joining the party to involve themselves for the cause of Bangaru Telangana, but the old cadre do not approve of it.
Senior TRS leaders and cadre are worried about their political future due to rapid growth of BT batch leaders. They urged the party leadership not to encourage leaders from other parties, particularly the inefficient ones.
