Plea to help establish goshala for cows
Chennai: The Sri Vittal Rukmini Samsthan has appealed to the general public and devotees of Asia’s biggest temple for Sri Pandurangan Rukmini at Govindapuram near Kumbakonam in the state to donate liberally and help the administration in establishing a goshala to protect about 500 cows. As the number of cows will be about 500 at the goshala, the cost of food and maintenance is going to be high.
Hence, bhakthas could contribute towards the noble cause by participating in different seva schemes or earmark birthdays, anniversaries, remembrance days of their forefathers or any other special day and make them auspicious by participating in the specific day’s for this ‘Go Samrakshanam’.
Vittaldas Maharaj who has been instrumental in establishing the temple and also actively involved in spreading the importance of Namasankeerthanam to attain peace and well-being, will address a huge gathering at YMCA grounds, Royapettah, in the city on August 4 from 7-9 pm. The organisers have planned to utilise the proceeds of the Nama Saagar for maintaining the goshala.
