Samsung unveils a new flip handset with 8MP camera

It is expected to be priced below Rs 20,000 for the Indian market

It seems like Samsung is following the footsteps of LG by introducing a new flip handset in the global market. The new Galaxy Folder is basically the successor of the flip phone launched back in 2013 with the same name.

The newly unveiled Samsung Galaxy Folder sports a 3.8-inch screen and runs on Android operating system. Samsung claims that its new smartphone offers 8GB of internal storage, which can also be expanded via microSD card.

The Galaxy Folder flip phone features an 8MP rear shooter, 2MP front-facing camera and is fuelled by an 1800mAh battery. On its connectivity front, Samsung Galaxy Folder supports Wi-Fi, GPS / A-GPS, 3G, LTE, and Bluetooth. Samsung Galaxy Folder flip phone will be available in South Korea for KRW 297,000 during its initial stages.

Media reports also state that this handset is expected to be priced below Rs 20,000 for the Indian market.
