Hyderabad: Two Telugu academics, who were reportedly abducted by Islamic State militants in Libya, have not yet been released. Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh governments are trying to get them released.
Telangana government officials asked the ministry of external affairs to take steps to ensure the release of Ch. Balaram, a native of the state. According to the directives of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana chief secretary Rajiv Sharma has written to MEA in this regard.
