Bangalore: Despite being released from the clutches of the ISIS on Friday, the two teachers from Karnataka, Vijay Kumar and Lakshmikanth, are unwilling to come back to India leaving their two friends - T. Gopikrishna from Srikakulam, and Balaram from Hyderabad - behind.
Sunitha Vijay Kumar, wife of Vijay Kumar, who is in touch on the phone with her husband in Libya, told this newspaper, “My husband told me that he along with the other teacher Lakshmikanth was safe and sound, but how can the two of them come back to India leaving the other two behind, when they are still in danger.”
“More than the fact that all the four had gone together in one car to the airport, they were friends at Sirte University for quite a long time. They were close to each other as two were from the same state and the other two were from the neighbouring state, and above all, all of them being Indians bonded together in a foreign country,” said Sunitha.
