THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Veteran leader K.R. Gowri Amma who is all set to join CPM on August 19, has threatened fast unto death if the district administration decides to evict her outfit from the JSS office here.
Gowri Amma alleged that the RDO was acting at the behest of home minister Ramesh Chennithala to throw them out of the property.
“If they try to evict us on the instructions of rival faction I will observe fast unto death as a mark of protest,” she added.
The RDO had issued notice to Gowri Amma the other day asking her to produce documents of the property. JSS owns 7 cents of land and a building in Nanthancode.
The dispute began after Gowri Amma stated that the property owned by her outfit would automatically get transferred to CPM after merger.
The rival faction led by A N Rajan Babu had decided to go for a legal battle to resolve the dispute.
Rajan Babu group says though the property owned by the JSS is registered by Gowri Amma in her capacity as the then party general secretary, she will cease to have any ownership right after joining the CPM.
Moreover, majority of the 120 members of the state committee are with them, they claim.
They allege that the CPM was using muscle power to take control of the offices in Thiruvananthapuram and Alappuzha.
