New couple in town

The lead pair of Rettai Vaal Kuruvi, speak about their on screen chemistry
Ashwin Kumar and Pavani Reddy, the lead pair of Rettai Vaal Kuruvi, speak about their on screen chemistry and share experiences while shooting for the soap opera...
SCRIPT IS THE KING
Ashwin: In the initial episodes, our characters are shown divorcing each other and that was something unique in telly soaps. In fact, the portions, where our characters are in love, will air soon. I’m sure audiences will enjoy it more than the current episodes.
Pavani: Though I had few film offers, I took up this offer as I found the script refreshing. The story of a couple, which was much in love, eventually had ego clashes, separated and then realise their mistake, was intriguing.
INITIAL HICCUPS
Ashwin: I’m a newbie and had inhibitions and anxiety on taking up the role. I have never attended any acting class. When I got to know that there were artistes from across many industries, I was a little perturbed.
Pavani: Though I have acted in few films in different languages, this is my first serial in Tamil and I was a little apprehensive about the language as I hail from Karnataka. But luckily, things went smooth from day one and I’m now having a whale of time.
ON THE SETS
Ashwin: Pavani is far more experienced and was very supportive. Whenever I had problems while emoting, she would really help me. Her advice was quite helpful and we are good friends now.
Pavani: Unlike many other newbies, he was cool and had an urge to learn something new every day. I think that has helped him gradually improve and it is fun working with him.
OTHER INTERESTS
Ashwin: Writing scripts for films and dancing.
Pavani: Cooking and I follow the latest fashion trends quite earnestly!
ASPIRATIONS
Ashwin: I want to be part of good films, serials and be known as an actor who can pull off any kind of role.
Pavani: I’m game for staying in the industry for a long time. I have no plans of getting married anytime soon.
